Sharragh Creations

Sharragh Creations is the crafty arm of Sharragh Enterprises. Sharragh Enterprises is her research and transcription business.

During the first Covid lockdown, Roz took the opportunity to gather together her completed projects and works in progress and had to decide what to do with them. A visit to the Port Chalmers Artisan Market one day introduced her to their amazing market and after meeting the Manager, was lucky enough to be offered a stall space a few months later. The rest, as they say is history.

Roz' specialty is hand crafted rag dolls, made from mostly recycled materials, the bodies from unbleached calico flour sacks; clothing from op shop fabric and even the stuffing is recycled polyester fill made from plastic bottles. The only new materials are the felt and most of the wool for the hair. She has cross stitch cushions and she also knits; many of her hand knitted cushions are made from recycling wool jerseys and she also knits children's' and baby clothes. .

More recently she has developed a range of paper crafts which include tea bag sachets and bookmarks.

You can find Roz at the Port Chalmers Artisan and Cruise Ship markets, the Edgar Centre Christmas Market, and the Wingatui Market. She also pops up in other markets in the Clutha district as time permits. You can also contact her on roz.McKechnie@xtra.co.nz.
